I made plans with a guy online for a date. I was early and sat there waiting for him for thirty minutes before realizing he was going to be a no-show. Should I call him and see what gives?
You bought a special outfit for the night, after all he’s one of the cutest guys you’ve been out with in awhile. Your hair’s blown out, your manicure is still shiny and your butt looks great in your new jeans. You made plans three days ago for 8pm. Only one problem: by 8:30pm you realize he’s a no show.
Now what? First of all you have to put all your trouble to good use. Scoop up your purse and your crushed ego and get to work.
Take a look around and see who else is there. This is the one time, we repeat, the one time you are allowed to have a little pick me up (though not literally).
Get some fun, flirty attention from whatever cute guy is in the room. It will make you feel good. It will make that 12-dollar cab ride worth it.
And, if he calls with anything less than an emergency, tell him thanks, but no thanks.
